No apologies necessary,I am soooo not offended.

I was just sharing my pov. There is NO excuse for such behaviour you have to deal with. I have had my share of rudeness working in hospitals-emergency is the worst- everyone thinks they need to be seen right away- even if they have had the problem for months. A fellow I saw the other day complained he had to wait 4 hours to get his cut finger looked at- the cut was about the size of a pea!

I did try to explain what it's like trying to live in an internet world with dial-up. We are expected to use the net, but are hindered by poor service. Certainly I don't freak out to the people on the phone when they say it's not available.
re satellite- major $$$ hundreds for installation, then $50 a month and you still have to use your phone line and have slow uploads. So in the final analysis - not worth it.
Living rurally, you get a lot of suckage- around here there are too few doctors, NO public transit. Sure we chose to live here, but we are citizens too and pay taxes and buy phone service etc. It costs companies more to service us, but they do charge us.
