Today marks a monumental occassion. I finished the last chapter of my first multi-chapter fan fic. Yup, that is right I sent it off to my first beta just a few minutes ago, but with the warning that I had better not see it back before I see a new chapter of Second Life post! I have my priorities after all.
It has been an amazing journey. Until RYA or I guess I could say Contemplations I had never written prose. Poetry has always been my venue of expression, but I am pleased to discover I actually enjoying writing when I do not need to pick every single word to have three definitions. It has been a learning experience as well, I have never had to paint the scene. I hope I have grown as a writer over the last 10 months. lady_karelia (aka ladyinthecloak) challenged me to write a fan fic though it first posted in March. I had originally planned to have it complete before posting and then thought I had it far enough along to finish before posting caught up with me. Well, what do they say about the best laid plans of mice and men?
