Blessing from Afar

 You cannot imagine how blessed I feel at this very moment.  Life is chaotic, my Eagle remains an idiot, and it has been storming all weekend, yet I am blessed.

I just received an email from my dear Eagle's oldest daughter.  She is only seven years younger than I am and I honestly had no clue that she had a clue about how I truly feel about her father and she may not yet, but her words still warm my heart.

She has only met her "evil stepmother" once, but is privvy to what has transpired over the last 3 years and is not pleased with the predicament her father is in, though it is of his own making, but I digress.

I got a lovely email from her where she says and I quote, "I do not know how a man who is as intelligent as my father could be so stupid as to ignore the treasure he has in you."  Ahh, how it does my heart good to know she values and appreciates me.  I do not know if she thinks as most that I am just his friend or if she realizes that I love him.  I think perhaps it is the latter as she takes after her father in intelligence, but is also a very perceptive young woman.
